Madeleine was born on April 5, 2006 and came home with me at eight weeks. She was a cute furry bundle of energy, playful, naughty, but extremely affectionate. She started out early in the breed ring, as she comes from a long line of show Goldens, but it soon became obvious that I as an owner handler could not succeed with her in that venue. I have trained her in obedience and agility and she has just started competing in the Open agility class, Her favorite activity is retrieving balls and sticks on the beach. She loves jumping on me and others, although she is learning that there are those who prefer that she lean on them with all four paws on the ground. She shares my bed with Adeline, my yellow lab, and although they are completely opposite in temperament they are good companions.

Adeline came to me from Guide Dogs for the Blind when she was “career changed”. Always calm and focused, she was deemed to be “fearful,” but I think she just wanted to be a pet and join me and Madeleine. She started her 1st agility class just days after I adopted her, which was a huge change in her life.

She is the sweetest dog imaginable, a certified therapy dog, and has earned her Rally Excellent title as well as her AKC Open Agility titles. She loves basking in the sun and sleeping under the covers with me. She just celebrated her 5th birthday with some of our favorite residents at Villa Riviera, including Rollo who is 102 years young, and loves talking about dog agility with me.

Both of us started competing in agility in November of 2007. Stevie just started in Masters for USDAA and has completed her AKC Excellent A titles. We were fortunate to travel to Scottsdale in 2009 and are hopeful for more visits to the Nationals with our friends from GVDC. Thank you to Mia, Anne and all the group for welcoming us.

Newest Member of Mia Grant’s Pack

This is Touchango Victory Dance. Vic came to Mia from across the pond in the UK. He is an easy going boy in daily life, but loud and proud at agility. He loves his Giant Mega Squeaky Ball, hanging out with his best buddy Starlet, going swimming, hiking and instigating tug play. He is also incredibly good looking.
