The new date of the party is Saturday February 4th, we’ll meet at the field at 12:00noon for set-up of our agility course and go from there.

Club will provide drinks, please bring a side dish or dessert
Bring as many gifts as you would like to open for the gift exchange: $20 limit, wrapped gift, doggie theme (toys, treats, etc)

Hopefully the new date still works for you, it is tough with agility trials somewhere every weekend to find a date that is good for the majority of our members.

We will do an agility demo on the carpeted stage of the Arlington Theater before the showing of the movie “Red Dog,” as part of a mini festival that will include several groups having booths outside the theater. The agility will be modified to accommodate the surface and I imagine will just include jumps, a tunnel or two and weaves. Dogs that can do cool tricks are also needed.

Date: Saturday January 28th

Arrive at the Arlington Theater: 9:00am

Demo: 9:45am (15 minutes or so)
(still leaves time to do at least half a day at DrivenDogs, if you were planning to attend that trial)

We also need dogs there that would like to schmooze with the crowd, those that enjoy attention and contact with children and adults. Please wear a GVDC club shirt to the event.

Silver PDCH Kerrybrook’s Collision Course Performance Tournament Silver, Performance Jumpers Platinum, Performance Snooker Platinum, Performance Gamblers Gold, Performance Relay Gold, Performance Standard Gold

Crash and I went up to SMART in Aug. not knowing that it would be our last trial for over three months. On our last run on Sat. we ran a really fun and challenging jumpers for her 250th Q and her Performance Lifetime Achievement Award. What a thrill! Good girl Crash!!!!

It has truly been a blast! Having the time of our lives! Earning her Silver Lifetime Achievement Award and her Silver Performance Championship has been so much fun! What a great little lab!

March 9, 1996 – Oct. 28, 2011

I am very sorry to say that I had to put Oso to sleep early this morning. He made it to a ripe old age (15 1/2!) but his body couldn’t keep up with his valiant heart anymore.

Oso was directly responsible for all the best things in my life. Without him, I never would have gotten involved in agility, aussies or met some of my best friends. I can honestly say he changed my life.

Many of you didn’t know Oso because he was in the game over a decade ago but for those who did, please remember him with love.

Maizey earned her MACH in Orange County on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Maizey is Anne’s first MACH and is the youngest Cattle Dog to earn the title. Congratulations Anne & Maizey!
